How to increase e-mail open rates in 4 seconds

I’m not a copywriter, but other people are.

I was recently challenged with the task of re-igniting an email marketing system for a brand.

First blast- about a 20% open rate.

Second blast- about a 50% open rate.

How did I get such a jump in people opening up the e-mails?

Find a brand whose e-mail list you opted in to and review the subject lines which you’ve opened (or at least got your attention).

Apply to your e-mail marketing campaign. Don’t copy and paste, but figure out the structural elements and verbiage that made them appealing.

The content and your offer is in your hands, but at least you’ll have more people opening it to find out what you have to say.
